Le Domaine Château d'Ermenonville

The castle, where the fates of the most outstanding figures throughout history have crossed and the ideas shaping the shape of Europe were born, became the place of the premiere and exhibition of the Royal Militare exclusive collection, created especially for the celebration of the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon Bonaparte.

The centuries-old Chateau d’Ermenonville, situated just outside Paris, has always had a special place in the history of France. Its chambers hosted such notables as King Louis XI of France, King Henri IV, Marie Antoinette, King Gustav III, Benjamin Franklin, Maximilian Robespierre, Georges Jacques Danton, and Napoleon I Bonaparte often hunted rabbits in the castle park.

To the old walls of the Chateau, great energy brought circus shows in an aerial acrobatics wheel and juggling with hoops by the best artists and acrobats.

Located in the heart of the princely forests, facing the Parc Jean-Jacques Rousseau and surrounded by a moat, this magnificent building on the waters of the River Launette was a witness of the most important histories for France and Europe. The castle of Ermenonville lent its backdrop to the famous „Montmirail” from the film “Les Visiteurs” with Jean Réno
