September is International Deaf Awareness Month.During the entire month of September, individuals spread awareness on Deaf people, culture, and issues pertaining to the Deaf community.It’s very, very important for Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha.Few years ago, for a one year, Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha was Advisor to the board of the Migam company. IShe worked with deaf people every day. It was a wonderful, inspiring and busy time. She got to know wonderful culture of the deaf people.I also learned everything about the difficulties they have to face everyday. Migam company developed innovative solutions for the Deaf. Company’s main focus has been on Sign Language, Deaf clients, and in proving communication between Deaf clients and the hearing staff of any customer service. Back in 2011, Migam started developing its free dictionary, to aid in learning Sign Language – the dictionary available to this day. During its development, Migam expanded into new areas, such as: Sign Language texts translations, movies captioning, and online interpreting – the last one now functioning as the Migam Interpreter. Migam, a sign language translator in 2017 received an award “Warsaw-London on Bridge” from British Royal CouplePrince William and Princess Katherine.Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha have done a lot of great activities with Iwona Cichosz, Miss Deaf World, wonderful ambassador of the deaf people, who spread awareness about the struggles which deaf people needs to face everyday.
